On July 6th, 2022 an Express Entry draw and invitation was initiated. The points required was 557. This is the first draw after a long pause on Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applications. Due to COVID and a backlog of applications, invitations to apply for permanet residence under Express Entry Canadian Experience Class was put on hold. On April 22, 2022, The Minister of Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada announced that these invitation to apply for Permanent Residence under Express Entry, Canadian Experience Class would resume in July of 2022. “To help manage this phenomenon Canada put a pause on new applications for permanent residents from skilled newcomers who were outside of the country at the time. I am pleased to share today that we’re also going to being to invite new candidates to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry system beginning in July.“
